We were on location in Granada, Spain when our shoot dates happened to coincide with Holy Week, the annual Easter celebrations there. We were floored by the the elaborate displays that accompanied the austere parades of the faithful. Ornate floats of thrones and other religious icons, all carried by hand, passed through the narrow cobblestone streets of Granada. Combining grief and meditation in memory of Christ’s death -music, art, and color came together in magical processions to remember the passion and death of Jesus Christ in this ancient Catholic tradition. It was a an enchanting and mystical sight to behold. -For those reasons this trip gets filed solidly under ‘Unforgettable’.
